Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a Float Pool position requiring 2+ years of experience and WA or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Float Pool position within a 226-bed non-profit community hospital
• Cares for adult patients including post-surgical, stroke, oncology, CHF, COPD, respiratory, GI, ortho total joints, and COVID cases
• May occasionally involve total care assignments functioning in a CNA-like capacity
• Uses Epic EMR
• 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a or 7a-7p, 36 hours per week
• Floating required to 2EW, 2NW, 3EW, 3NW, 5th floor, and ER for MedSurg holds
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must pass telemetry exam during compliance process
• PALS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Proficiency with chest tubes, trachs, PICC/midlines/central lines, foleys, NG tubes, dressing changes, wound vacs, ostomies, and telemetry monitoring
• Ability to draw from central lines if needed
• Peds and psych experience preferred but not required
• Oncology experience without chemo administration is acceptable

Additional Information

• Provide general Med/Surg and telemetry nursing care to a diverse adult patient population
• Scrubs must be any solid color with no graphics or designs
