Position Details

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry

This position will involve floating between two Medical-Surgical Telemetry units. Candidates must be flexible and willing to float to areas where most needed.

Job Requirements

• Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant specialty
• Certification: Active, unrestricted RN License in Arizona or a valid, participating compact license (pending submissions are accepted). BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend
• On-Call: Not required

Additional Information

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week, with the possibility of being called off up to six times during a 13-week assignment.
• Special Requirements: The traveler will be part of a flex pool. Candidates should have strong Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience and ICU/PCU experience is a plus.

Clinical Environment

All employees are expected to adhere to the quality and patient safety standards established by the facility, including proper medication administration practices.

The traveler should be well-rounded and capable of floating where needed. Familiarity with medical equipment typically found in a medical-surgical/telemetry environment, including Liko lifts in patient rooms, is advantageous.

Patient Care Details

• Patient Demographics: Adults and Geriatrics
• Daily Census: Dependent on unit population; ranges from 20-28 patients
• Interdisciplinary Support Services: Includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.

Candidate Skills

• Administration of chemotherapy
• Cardiac telemetry management
• Caring for patients with dysrhythmias
• Pre/Post-operative management for cardiac and neurosurgical cases
• Telemetry remote monitoring
