You will be joining a team of legal professionals that supports our go-to-market activities in the United States and abroad, with a focus on drafting, negotiating and closing commercial transactions for the purchase of Box's products and services.We have a culture of collective success - we celebrate our wins together, learn from our "fail fast" moments together, and look to lift each other up every day. The role is based in Box’s corporate headquarters in Redwood City, CA.WHAT YOU'LL DO Independently draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements involving nuanced technical, commercial, data protection, privacy, and intellectual property issuesDrive business outcomes and provide actionable advice to sales leadership, executive management, and other internal stakeholders on a broad range of complex legal, business and strategic issuesCollaborate across organizations including finance, order management, engineering, product, security, global risk and compliance, and moreContribute to broader team initiatives such as sales enablement, AI agentic development, knowledge management and team playbooksWHO YOU AREWe are an AI-first company. This means you approach your work with a growth mindset and find ways to leverage AI to help make faster, smarter decisions that will 10X your impact at Box.Required skills5+ years of relevant post-law school experienceAccredited law degree and a current and active license to practice law in the United StatesDemonstrated technical understanding and proficiency in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, including multi-jurisdictional transactions, cloud services, AI use and governance provisions, and related professional services and supportPrevious work with US and EU privacy and data protection regulations including the EU Data Act, EU DORA, HIPAA, HITECH, CCPA/CPRA, and GDPR.Preferred skillsExperience providing in-house legal support to companies with business operations on a global scale Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and manage multiple business expectations in a fast paced environmentExposure to complex procurement processes, including US federal, state and local government salesBox lives its values, with community and in-person collaboration being a core part of our culture.
