Location: New York, NY | Onsite 4 Days/Week
We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join a fast-moving product team supporting a highly visible financial services program. This role will serve as a key liaison between business and technology teams, translating business needs into detailed technical requirements and supporting delivery from discovery through implementation and UAT. We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join a fast-moving product team supporting a highly visible financial services program. This role will serve as a key liaison between business and technology teams, translating business needs into detailed technical requirements and supporting delivery from discovery through implementation and UAT. Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders, Product Owners, engineers, and QA teams to gather and translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Lead requirements elicitation, discovery sessions, process analysis, gap analysis, and requirements validation.
- Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, functional requirements, data definitions, business rules, and process flows .
- Analyze system interactions, data flows, integrations, and technical constraints to help define effective solutions.
- Use Jira, Visio, and Miro to manage requirements and document workflows and process flows.
- Manage requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle, including traceability, change impact analysis, issue resolution, and documentation.
- Support UAT , including developing test scenarios, reviewing results, triaging defects, and validating delivered functionality.
- Participate in cybersecurity-related reviews, including MFA considerations.
- Manage multiple priorities independently and adapt quickly as project needs change.
- 7-10 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or Business Analyst supporting technology and/or product development initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Proven experience serving as a liaison between business and technology teams .
- Experience supporting projects involving the development and delivery of new products or applications .
- Strong requirements gathering, documentation, process modeling, and UAT experience.
- Technical understanding of system integrations, data flows, APIs/interfaces, and application dependencies .
- Experience with Jira and Visio and/or Miro .
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited oversight while managing multiple priorities.
- Financial services experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience using AI tools for communication or productivity is a plus.
