A 267-bed hospital in Fort Walton Beach, FL — offering an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, a Cancer Care Center, open-heart surgery, a pediatric ER, and two freestanding ERs — is seeking a Director of Behavioral Health.

The role. Reporting to hospital administration, the Director of Behavioral Health holds full accountability for the operational and clinical performance of the behavioral health unit, including staffing, budget oversight, and regulatory compliance. The Director drives evidence-based clinical practice to advance patient safety and quality outcomes, manages variation in care delivery to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness, and ensures adherence to all legal and regulatory standards while developing and implementing supporting policies and procedures. This leader oversees patient throughput through volume forecasting, flow coordination, and admission and discharge planning, and fosters interdisciplinary collaboration across departments to ensure staff with appropriate clinical competencies are matched to patient care needs. The Director also partners with the administrative team and physicians to strengthen existing behavioral health services and identify opportunities to develop new service lines and expand program capacity.

What we're looking for.

• Bachelor's Degree required
• RN License required
• 5 years of Recent (Within the last year) Acute Care Inpatient Behavioral Health Manager or Assistant Nurse Manager experience required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Fingerprint required

Schedule. Full-time, day shift.

Compensation. $110,000 - $130,000 per year plus Sign on: No Sign on; Relocation Assistance: Case by Case
