Your day as a Registered Nurse - RN

As a new RN at Minden Medical Center, you can expect to provide expert nursing care to patients, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure the highest standards of patient safety and well-being. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assessing patient conditions, administering medications, creating and implementing care plans, and educating patients and their families. Working the night shift from 7 pm to 7 am, with a schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off, you will play a crucial role in delivering quality healthcare services to our community.

What matters most

To excel in the role of RN at Minden Medical Center, candidates must possess a current RN licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. While one year of experience in Nursery/NICU/L&D is preferred, those with a strong passion for maternal and infant care are encouraged to apply. Candidates should hold certifications in Fetal Heart Monitoring (preferred), CPR (required), and obtain NRP certification within 8 weeks of hire. Additionally, all RN staff will receive training to float between the labor unit, post-partum/GYN floor, and the nursery. Adaptable, quick-thinking individuals with a commitment to providing top-notch patient care will thrive in this dynamic and supportive healthcare environment.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Current RN licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Nursing; one year Nursery/NICU/ L&D experience preferred.
• Required Certification/Registration Fetal Heart Monitoring preferred
• CPR required
• NRP within 8 weeks.
• All RN Staff will be trained to float between the labor unit, post-partum/GYN floor, and the nursery.
