Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Medical-Surgical Unit. The ideal candidate will be involved in providing high-quality patient care, supporting patient assessments, and maintaining clinical standards. The RN will have a vital role in ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic patient assessments and provide general nursing care.
• Manage wounds, tracheostomy care, ostomy care, drains, and chest tubes.
• Assist in the monitoring and management of patients undergoing dialysis or utilizing PCA pumps.
• Administer medications, with a focus on Heparin drip management.
• Support post-operative procedures including amputations, ostomy placements, and wound vacs.
• Perform safety checks and participate in bedside shift reporting.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare team members to enhance patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred.
• Experience in a medical-surgical or similar unit is preferred.
• Able to perform patient care duties for a population that may require complex interventions.
