Full-Time Clothing Supervisor - Wichita Kansas Temple

Full‑Time Clothing Supervisor – Wichita, Kansas. Job Description Ensures the temple ordinances are kept pure, recorded accurately, and made available to worthy Church members by creating an environment in which patrons receive a positive and uplifting experience and maintaining operations at standards established by the First Presidency. Provides clean, well‑cared temple clothing and linen supplies for patrons, workers, and employees, and maintains an adequate inventory. Responsibilities Maintains a staff of 3‑15 employees and 5‑50 Church Service workers by interviewing prospects and making recommendations to the Temple Recorder. Oversees training of new workers through personal orientations, pairing new workers with experienced workers for detailed instruction, and monitoring inter‑worker interaction. Ensures prompt, cheerful service to patrons requesting temple clothing through proper scheduling and supervision of workers. Supplies & supervises staff maintaining discipline and morale. Monitors and evaluates performance. Prepares time sheets and logs of volunteer support hours. Maintains adequate inventory of rental clothing and cleaning materials by monitoring stocks and initiating requisitions with adequate lead time. Assures rental clothing is kept in clean, serviceable condition and maintains quality consciousness among workers. Assures linen/laundry operations break even financially by correlating staffing, rental charges, purchases, and other inputs with the Temple Recorder. Supervises handling and accounting for cash on a daily basis. Maintains an orderly appearance of the patron service area by monitoring appearance and initiating corrective action when needed. Qualifications Two (2) years of relevant experience (supervisory, commercial laundry, etc.). Demonstrated leadership abilities. Experience in inventory control. Excellent interpersonal skills. Basic financial background. Must be an endowed member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints with a current temple recommend. Physical ability: lift 30 pounds; bend, kneel, stoop, pull, push, and perform physically demanding work in a fast‑paced environment; stand for long periods.
