Senior Procurement & Inventory Management Specialist

The Senior Procurement & Inventory Management Specialist is responsible for leading procurement activities, managing supplier relationships, and overseeing inventory planning and control to ensure uninterrupted production and operational efficiency. This role partners closely with engineering, manufacturing, finance, and logistics to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead procurement operations including sourcing, RFQs, supplier selection, negotiations, and purchase order management
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost targets are met
• Oversee inventory planning and forecasting to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or excess
• Monitor material availability for production builds, prototypes, and customer shipments
• Develop and maintain inventory control procedures including cycle counts, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis of variances
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions, engineering changes, and build schedules
• Analyze spend and cost-reduction opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare procurement and inventory reports for leadership

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or inventory management
• Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems, purchasing workflows, and inventory control methods
• Proven experience negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor performance
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
