The facility features 2 dedicated CV Surgery ORs and utilizes Epic EMR, providing a modern and well-supported environment for experienced surgical specialists. Opportunity: Physician - Surgery - Cardiothoracic Job Details: Hospital-based practice setting serving an adult patient population Coverage needed for a minimum of 2 weeks, Monday-Friday with night and weekend call (7a-7a) 2 dedicated CV Surgery ORs available during daytime hours Average volume of approximately 1 case per weekend Must be able to work independently Required procedures include: Adult Cardiac Surgery, General Thoracic Surgery, CABG, Heart Valve Repair/Replacement, Tube Thoracostomy, Pericardial Window, Thoracotomy (Lung Biopsy, Lung Resection, Pneumonectomy), Thoracotomy Decortication, and Mediastinal Surgery EMR: Epic Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery required Active Michigan medical license required (must be obtained through full application process, not IMLC) BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required NPDB self-query required at presentation (must be pulled within 30 days) Credentialing timeframe approximately 90-120 days Travel, hotel, and rental car or mileage (IRS standard rate) covered Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
