Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part-time)./pp$38.63 - $50.46/ppScheduled Weekly Hours: 40/ph3Essential Functions/h3ulliProvides clinical services according to cardiac/ interventional radiology practice standards and acts as a resource to other technologists to ensure optimal patient care and efficient departmental operations./liliAdheres to department policies and protocols to ensure that all studies are optimized for interpretation. Demonstrates patient safety by use of guard rails, breaking mechanisms, shielding, safety straps, and patient monitoring./liliDemonstrates competence in correctly sending images to PACS./liliDemonstrates radiation protection and safety for patients and staff as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines. Helps to maintains radiation exposure reading within the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) limits during interventional procedures/liliDemonstrates a thorough understanding of radiological principles and theory, anatomy, positioning, and technique for obtaining optimal imaging studies for all utilized modalities./liliRecognizes clinical and emergent problems that may interfere with exams and take appropriate action to resolve them and produce the most desirable outcome./liliAssists physicians during all diagnostic and interventional procedures using standard department protocols, appropriate radiation protection, sterile technique, and infection control practices./liliEnsures equipment is operational and notifies appropriate personnel for service and repair. Proficient with troubleshooting equipment issues during procedures./liliCompletes ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations. Identifies correctly patients and files to ensure a high degree of accuracy. Enters written and electronic data accurately in comments to provide all pertinent data to Interventionalist to assist in the interpretation of imaging studies./liliDemonstrates willingness to assist co-workers during periods of heightened patient care activity, be adaptive to changing department needs. Rotates across both campuses as needed./liliEnsures the accurate patient identification, collection, transferring, labeling, and transporting of lab specimens that are collected during interventional procedures/liliOperates specialized equipment, handles medications, aids in observation and monitoring of acute cardiac patient care./liliEnters written and electronic data accurately in comments to provide all pertinent data into the NJ state database/liliPerforms and review all case billing through hospital information systems and works with management and finance to ensure all billing and charge codes are up to date./liliManages and orders department inventory ensuring all required supplies are available and that stock expiration is closely monitored./li/ulh3Minimum Requirements/h3ulliEducation: Graduation from accredited school of radiological technology.
