Role Description

We are a family-owned business in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Our restaurant is attached to a seasonal marina that caters to yachts that travel up and down the Maine coast. We are looking for someone who can produce and execute a high-quality menu for our high-profile clients. There are no high-end restaurants in the area, and this need must be fulfilled.

We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic. In the summer season, we are open 7 days a week, 11 am - 9 pm. In the winter, we go down to six days a week. We offer employee housing.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of line cook or kitchen experience preferred
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• ServSafe Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
• Maintain consistency in food quality, portion control, and presentation
• Set up and maintain assigned workstations and kitchen supplies
• Assist with food preparation and ingredient preparation
• Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Complete opening and closing duties as assigned
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth daily operations.
