This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to drive infrastructure forward, power innovation and leave your mark on our energy future.HDR Engineering is currently seeking a Data Center Substation Coordinator to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals. Responsibilities include:Work under the direction of the Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s).Prepare calculations, design sketches and redline drawings.Work with Designers and CAD Technicians to develop drawings in accordance with national design standards, safety codes and project specifications and requirements.Typical designs include one-line diagrams, protection and control schematic development, wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, substation physical layouts, material lists, conduit and cable sizing/routing, AC and DC systems calculations and sizing, and substation grounding.Occasional short-term travel (typically 1-5 days) may be necessary. Longer term (several weeks) assignments may be required infrequently on project assignments.Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity or willingness to learn electrical design software such as SKM PowerTools, ETAP, or EasyPower.Openness and willingness to work on cross-functional assignments in adjacent industries (wastewater, power generation, mining, civil/structural, etc.)Ability to obtain EIT/FE registration within 12 monthsKnowledge of Microstation and/or AutoCAD a plusQualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in EngineeringComputer skills in Microsoft OfficeAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned cultureWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
