Respiratory Therapist Opportunity

We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Portland, ME where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state respiratory therapist license in good standing.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Three or more years of respiratory therapy experience preferred; minimum one year as an RRT required.
• BLS required.
• NRP required for NICU roles.
• ACLS preferred.
• Experience in tertiary, teaching hospital settings and level 1 trauma centers required.
• Experience with adult acute and critical care, emergency department, and pediatric (NICU/PICU) care required; some NICU/PICU experience preferred.
• Familiarity with ventilators and equipment: Drager V500/VN500, Hamilton T1/C1, Respironics V30/V60, Trilogy line, Airvo, Vapotherm.
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• NICU/PICU or cardiothoracic respiratory experience preferred.
• Flexible, team-oriented communicator preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900-0700.
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
• Weekend hours: 36 (unless otherwise noted).
• Call requirement: yes. Two hours for the oncoming shift.
• Float requirements: position may float to cover NICU/PICU, acute pediatrics, ED, adult acute and critical care.
