About the Role Our client, a highly-regarded childcare institution in Welkom , Free State, is actively searching for a dedicated and energetic Toddler Care Specialist & Early Learning Facilitator. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver age-appropriate activities and curriculum for toddlers, focusing on play-based learning. Ensure a safe, secure, and stimulating environment conducive to exploration and development. Supervise and engage with toddlers throughout the day, including during meals, naps, and playtime. Monitor and document each child's developmental progress, noting achievements and areas needing support. Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns. Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness within the toddler unit. Prepare and serve nutritious snacks and meals according to dietary guidelines. Foster positive social interactions and emotional development among the children. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive childcare environment. Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and licensing regulations. Requirements A recognized qualification in Early Childhood Development (ECD) or a related field. Previous hands-on experience working with toddlers in a professional childcare setting. Demonstrated knowledge of toddler developmental stages and appropriate care practices. Exceptional patience, nurturing skills, and a genuine affinity for young children. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with both children and adults. Ability to create a stimulating and educational play environment. Proficiency in observing and documenting child progress. Certification in First Aid and CPR is essential. Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check. A proactive and responsible approach to childcare duties.
