From sourcing ingredients to getting products into customers’ hands, you’ll play a role in delivering the brands people know and love.Purpose of Role:This position is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining various environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure all employees' highest level of compliance. Monitors environmental, health, and safety regulations and provides technical support and leadership to Area Managers to ensure compliance with internal standards and Federal, State, and Local laws.Key Outputs:Provide direction and make decisions regarding all site safety and environmental activities.Work together with the site safety team to identify and mitigate site risks.Serve as a liaison for regulatory agencies.Track & report Governance critical metrics (Environmental, Risk, and Health)Conduct plant safety, health, and environmental inspections and on-the-job coaching with operations team members.Conduct site construction safety inspections, assessments and PTW documents.Ensure full compliance and adherence to site environmental permits.Support preparing required environmental permit applications and renewals and routine agency reports, e.g., air, wastewater, SPCC, spill reporting, etc.Training program delivery and implementation. Includes new hire safety training and annual refresher training for all employees on various safety and environmental topics.Maintain contractor safety program, including the qualification process, orientation, and safety compliance.Provide guidance and leadership to the site to enhance employee safety engagement.Maintain OSHA Logs.Support and drive the Behavior Based Safety Program for the site.Conduct risk assessments and recommend risk reduction and control strategies to site leadership.Conduct root cause analysis for incidents, accidents, and near misses. Provide corrective actions and lessons learned at the site and corporate level.Lead and ensure adherence to the internal audit program schedule.Roll out/embed critical safety and environmental programs throughout site processes and infrastructure, including Zero Harm, SFIP, NFPA, and OSHA DISCUS.Implement continuous improvement programs related to health, safety, and the environment.Qualifications and Experience Required:5+ years of related experience in a relevant production and distillation environment.Bachelor’s Degree in EHS or related fieldCSP or equivalent experience preferredAbility to oversee EHS management systems in production, distillation and construction environments, including identification, assessment, control, crisis management, and business recovery plan.Ability to work independently with minimal directionVital planning, interpersonal, and follow-up skillsExcellent communication skillsKnowledge of applicable laws, regulations, nationally recognized standards, and guidelines for niche environmental health and safety functions as required.Working with UsFlexibility is key to our success.
