Operating Room Registered Nurse - Circulator Experience Required

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule

Full-time, 4x9s schedule (36 hours/week) - Monday to Friday with shifts from 6:30 AM/7:30 AM to 3:30 PM/4:30 PM.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse with circulator experience in various surgical services. The ideal candidate will be adept in delivering high-quality patient care, utilizing nursing theory, technical skills, and communication to support surgical teams and enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Circulate in multiple service lines including Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, ENT, GI, Spine, Ophthalmology, and Podiatry.


• Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.


• Ensure patient safety and comfort by promoting a healing environment.


• Provide education to patients and families for self-care after discharge.


• Document patient care and responses accurately and thoroughly.


• Engage in quality improvement activities to enhance nursing practice and patient care delivery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN License.


• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (AHA/RQI) required.


• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Operating Room setting.


• Experience as a circulator is required.


• Familiarity with specific surgical equipment and procedures in the mentioned specialties.
