Production Manager

We are seeking a hands-on Production Manager to lead a diverse team of production employees working in our thin-film coating operations. This critical role focuses on optimizing production schedules, organizing staff efficiently, and streamlining workflows to deliver exceptional service to our customers. As the Production Manager, you will play a vital role in fostering a supportive and motivated production team. Through leadership, training, and guidance, you will inspire your team to achieve excellence in quality, safety, compliance, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction. These efforts ensure the consistent application of Ionbond™'s high-performance coating solutions. The position reports directly to the Plant Manager.

What do we ask?

• Management of the production staff and production processes under the direction of the Plant Manager to ensure customers products within the operations are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Use of an ERP system to schedule customer orders and track data for reporting as needed.
• Promoting a safe working environment within the plant.
• With assistance of the Plant Manager, responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and training of employees.
• Provide leadership to the production team including performance evaluations, coaching, and building respectful relationships throughout the plant.
• Contribute to identifying and implementation of value-adding strategies and techniques.
• Maintain a clean environment for all workers, implementing and promoting 5S and other continuous improvement principles within the facility.
• Assist the staff with a variety of routine functions such as inventory, purchasing, auditing, and training as needed.
• Engages with QHSE, Customer Service, Engineering, Maintenance and Sales team members
• Other duties as assigned

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a candidate with:

The preferred candidate will have earned a degree from an accredited college; High School diploma is a required minimum for education.

Three to five years of experience working in industrial or manufacturing operations, PVD coating experience preferred.

Possess excellent coaching and communication skills.

Must have supervisory experience; 3-5 years minimum.

Knowledge of production planning processes and production planning skills.

Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with an understanding of machine controls, instrumentation, and basic machine maintenance.

Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills are also important, plus the ability to work effectively with the extended Ionbond team.

The ability to travel within the U.S. and internationally (minimally 10%) is required

Must be able to pass a background check and be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
