Job Summary
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) RN Lewiston, ME. The organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join the Peri Anesthesia team in a busy Level III Trauma Center. This position involves providing post-anesthesia care for adult and pediatric patients in a 19-bed unit, ensuring their safety, comfort, and recovery following surgical procedures.

Job Details

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS; Education: RN license; Location: Lewiston, ME; Years of Experience: 2 years required.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Float: Rarely required.
• Responsibilities include caring for patients in pre-op, same-day surgery, and Phase I PACU; managing arterial lines, dysrhythmias, and anesthesia recovery; performing IV starts, medication administration, and other post-surgical patient care procedures.
• Experience with Level III Trauma Center, pediatric PACU, and Phase I PACU is preferred.
• Candidate must be proficient in managing a diverse patient population including geriatric, adult, and pediatric cases, with knowledge in multiple surgical specialties.
• Additional notes: Must have experience with Endo/Laparoscopic, ENT, Gyn, Ortho, Robotics, Vascular, and Cardiac procedures, among others.
