Large managed care company is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to pick, label, scan and otherwise preparing the finished prescription for final verification by a pharmacist. This is a contract to hire position.

WORK LOCATION:  2747 W Grand Pkwy N, Ste D, Katy, TX  77449

PAY: $18.00

CONTRACT DATES: CONTRACT TO HIRE

HOURS: Alternating weeks
Weekdays: Week one will be opening from 8am to 5pm.
Week two will be closing from 11:30am to 8:30pm.

Sat and Sun: Every other weekend 8am to 5pm.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fills daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist
• Assists in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure
• Assists in prepacking frequently ordered medications, label and store, as needed during low volume times
• Packages materials and products manually
• Pulls/picks medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (prepack racks)
• Applies labels to blister cards and then scans product for accuracy check
• Alerts pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly
• Maintains designated workstation areas and replenishes all stock supplies needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Possess and Maintain a Clear and Active TX Pharmacy Technician License
• Previous pharmacy technician experience
• May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day. May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds.
