Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CCRN preferred Must-Have: - Experience with ventilated patients - Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias - Familiarity with pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring Description: This is an intensive care unit position. The patient ratio is 1:2-3. Experience with sepsis, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, ventilators/trachs, DKA, dialysis, stroke post TPA, COVID-19, cardiogenic shock, and surgical patients is required. The patient population includes adults to geriatrics. Expect to float within the facility if needed. Weekends will be scheduled every other week. If a major holiday falls during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The daily census averages 29 patients, combining ICU and other areas. There are 30 beds available in the unit. Maximum time off is limited to 7 days per contract. All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission. This position will not accept any requests for time off during orientation week. Holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. No holiday time off may be requested if one or two holidays occur during the assignment, however, one holiday time off may be considered if three holidays are present.
