IT Hardware Support Technician – Data Center Boydton, VA 23917 Job Title : IT Hardware Support Technician – Data Center Location : Boydton, VA Length : 6-18 Month Contract Pay Range : $25/hour + Benefits & PTO What's the Job? Support hardware decommissioning, including cable removal and staging Perform basic troubleshooting, diagnostics, and equipment replacements Monitor systems for equipment failure or performance issues Assist with physical audits of data center assets Follow detailed procedures for hardware setup, shutdown, and decommissioning under guidance What's Needed? High school diploma, GED, or equivalent 0–2 years of experience in a technical or hardware support role Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays What's in it for me?
