The Police Chief serves as a key member of the City's leadership team, working closely with the City Administrator, City Council, partner agencies, and the community to advance public safety and organizational excellence. About the Position The Police Chief provides overall leadership and direction for the Madras Police Department, overseeing: Law enforcement operations Criminal investigations Community policing initiatives Emergency preparedness and response Personnel development and training Department budgeting and administration Strategic planning and interagency partnerships The position is responsible for fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement while maintaining the department's commitment to exceptional public service.
