QC Technologist

Summary
Work directly for a Central New Jersey company supplying oils and specialty ingredients to the food and beverage industry. This is an opportunity to join a hands-on quality team where you"ll support product quality, food safety, laboratory testing, and continuous improvement.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
*Perform QC testing of raw materials, formulas, finished products, and microbiological samples while following GLP, GMP, and safety standards.
*Conduct laboratory equipment checks and calibrations, incoming material sampling, production equipment checks, and environmental monitoring.
*Investigate product deviations, rejections, non-conformances, and customer/vendor complaints; document findings and support root-cause and corrective-action activities.
*Maintain QC procedures, SOPs, laboratory records, product retains, inventory dispositions, and testing data while providing guidance and training to QC Technicians.

Required Skills & Experience
*Bachelor"s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related science field with laboratory experience and 8+ years of Quality Control experience or similar experience.
*Experience with microbiological laboratory practices and testing, with strong knowledge of laboratory equipment.
*Technical experience with HPLC, GC, Method Development and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
*PCQI/HACCP certification, food safety experience, and strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills & Experience
*Leadership or supervisory experience within a quality control or laboratory environment.
*Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and developing or revising QC procedures and SOPs.

Compensation
$65,000-$75,000 annually, plus benefits.
