Join Our Team as a Baker at Benefit Your Life Bakery & Cafe!

We are looking for bakers to join our lively, upbeat team at Benefit Your Life Bakery & Cafe, a dedicated gluten free bakery located in Knoxville, TN. This position is a good fit for anyone who is passionate not only about baking but about creating something delicious for those with severe allergen restrictions. Applicants must be willing to learn about cross-contamination procedures, and be thoughtful about the work they do.

As a baker, you'll play a key role in ensuring our customers enjoy safe, delicious baked goods every day. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and baking a variety of items, such as cookies, biscuits, and breads.

-Baking & making savory items like take & bake meals, baking chicken & bacon, and making ingredients from scratch like cream of chicken soup and pizza crusts.
- Following recipes and maintaining consistency in quality, allergen safety, and food safety protocols.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace that follows food safety standards, and keeping a daily task list that is efficient.
- Collaborating with staff to make sure the work needed gets done, dishes are taken care of, and product & ingredients are restocked and organized.

To fit in this role, you should bring:
- At least 1 year of experience as a baker- professional kitchen experience is not required but encouraged.
- Attention to detail, multitasking and strict allergen awareness to provide safety to our customers.
- The ability to work efficiently with others, and strong communication skills with coworkers to help them out & find what needs to be done.
- A positive attitude and friendliness for staff & customer interactions.
