CMM is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst, Strategic Finance to play a key role in evaluating, executing, and integrating strategic investments and acquisitions, partnering with business leaders to assess opportunities and drive inorganic value. This role works closely with the Product, Commercial, Corporate Finance, and Corporate Strategy and Business Development (CSBD) teams to:Support evaluation of growth investments and strategic opportunitiesContribute to M&A diligence and synergy developmentDeliver high-quality long-range financial planning and performance insights for the segmentOur ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and intellectually curious, with strong financial modeling capabilities and a desire to build strategic finance expertise.What You'll Do:Your daily responsibilities may change depending upon business needs, but you can expect the following:Strategic Investment Analysis:Support financial evaluation of acquisition targets and strategic investments for the segmentAnalyze standalone financials of target companies to identify trends, risks, and inconsistenciesBuild and update financial models (e.g., operating models, scenario and sensitivity analyses) to support deal evaluationAssess and recommend adjustments to seller financial models (e.g., revenue quality, cost structure, EBITDA normalization)Partner with Corporate Development and CMM business leaders to develop synergy cases, including:Revenue synergies (cross-sell, pricing, network expansion)Cost synergies (G&A efficiencies, platform leverage)Support diligence processes, including data room review, Q&A, and synthesis of findingsTranslate diligence findings into actionable insights for executive decision-makingSupport post-close integration planning and execution, partnering with business leaders to track synergy realization, monitor performance against deal assumptions, and identify risks to value deliveryBusiness Partnership & Strategic Insights:Translate complex financial, operational, and market data into actionable recommendations for senior leadership and executive decision-makingSupport acquisition integration and value realization efforts by tracking performance against deal assumptions, monitoring synergies, and identifying actions to improve outcomesContribute to materials used for senior leadership reviews and investment discussionsBasic Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field, or equivalent experience, and typically requires 7+ years of relative experience in FP&A, corporate finance, consulting, investment banking or related rolesExperience with financial and business case modeling, with the ability to analyze and identify trends and provide recommendations for actionsAdvanced Excel / financial modeling skills, and experience with planning tools (e.g. SAC)Preferred Skills/Experience:·Ethical Behavior: Demonstrates a strong understanding of ethical practices and ensures own behavior and that of others aligns with organizational valuesRelationship Building: Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organizational goalsEffective Communication: Communicates clearly and effectively through speaking, listening, and writing, using appropriate tools and techniquesClient Focus: Anticipates, understands, and responds to the needs of both internal and external clients, striving to exceed their expectations within organizational parametersTeamwork: Demonstrates a track record of building and managing high-performing finance teams, working cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectivenessLeadership: Positively influences others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the organizationDecision Making: Assesses situations to determine importance, urgency, and risks, and makes clear, timely decisions that benefit the organizationOrganization: Sets priorities, develops work schedules, monitors progress towards goals, and effectively tracks details, data, information, and activitiesPlanning: Determines strategies to move the organization forward, sets goals, creates and implements action plans, and evaluates the process and resultsProblem Solving: Assesses problem situations, identifies causes, gathers and processes relevant information, generates possible solutions, and makes recommendations to resolve problems.We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
