About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care for a diverse surgical patient population including GU, GYN, colorectal, bariatric, minimally invasive, and ENT procedures at a Level I Trauma Center
• Manage complex postoperative patients with multiple drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation , and recovery from general anesthesia
• Perform pre-op preparation for first cases during 0530-0730 when no PACU patients are present (night shift)
• Maintain a 1:2 patient ratio while managing potentially complex, high-acuity patients in both PACU and pre-op settings
• Float within service line as needed to meet facility demands
• Participate in on-call rotation as required per 6-week schedule

• Active RN license (MO or compact license required; pending MO license considered)
• Minimum 1 year of PACU or critical care experience required; Level I Trauma Center experience strongly preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Required competencies: Ventilator management, IV insertion, Telemetry, and Critical Care
• Must pass Relias EKG exam; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Must live at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center PACU setting
• Familiarity with IR Pre/Post procedures and management of vasoactive drips
• Experience managing high-acuity patients with multiple simultaneous complex needs
