Job Description & Requirements TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Bakersfield, California. Specialty ED - Emergency Department Discipline RN Duration 13 weeks Shift 12 hours, nights; 42 hours per week Employment Type Travel Responsibilities Work with a diverse team of caregivers to evaluate, triage, and implement care according to procedures and physician instructions. Perform minor medical operations, advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries, and plan long‑term care needs. Document medical history, check for allergies, obtain vital signs, and monitor patients' emotional and physical well‑being. Provide basic bedside care. Clean and bandage wounds. Provide IV therapy. Maintain supplies and medical equipment. Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies. Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty; lift up to 20 pounds comfortably and possibly up to 50 pounds when needed. Cope with stress and interact with people of all ages and backgrounds. Requirements 1-2 years recent acute care experience. ACLS, BLS, PALS certification (1 year).
