ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS : Works under the direction of the Teen Learning Lab Manager to lead the implementation of instructional workshops and crash courses to introduce students to new art design and concepts. Creates and schedules programming and events to engage students and facilitate student- driven initiatives by encouraging involvement by all students in the space. Evaluates programming and other special initiatives, such as summer camps. Develops Cloud901 procedures for student access and allocation of project storage. Manages materials and other inventory for regular and special programming such as summer camps and strategic partnership projects. Optimizes Cloud901 operations by implementing and evaluating hardware/software to make sure all programs are up -to-date. Develops and implements engaging Visual Arts curriculum, lesson plans, learning objectives, and success measures for teens ages 13-18. Assists teen artists in developing their Art Portfolios in preparation for college or a career in the visual art. Prepares teens for participation in art shows and competitions. Establishes norms, expectations, and procedures for teens utilizing the Art Studio and other facilities in CLOUD901. Works with students, community stakeholders, and library staff in outreach activities. Engages and coordinates with Educational Liaison Coordinator regarding the incorporation of Cloud901 services with local school district academic standards. Creates displays and provides tours of Cloud901 to educate prospective students, parents, teachers, and funders on project-based learning experiences and project outcomes. Conducts needs assessments to identify teen needs in order to create services and programs while increasing Cloud901 teen engagement. Collaborates with Cloud901 Manager on activities, including personnel matters, reporting/statistics and raining, and creates goals and plans for continuous improvements to the overall program. Attends professional training, and workshops on opportunities related to youth services to strengthen program quality and identify new ways to cultivate relationships between staff and teens. Works with Cloud901 social media. Manages budgeting, ordering, and inventory upkeep of supplies in the CLOUD901 Art Studio.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Requires the ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing with management, staff, and the general public. Requires bending, squatting, lifting and carrying objects heavier than 50 pounds. Requires the ability to set up, transport, and take down Art Studio equipment and furniture.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS : Majority of work is performed in a public library environment. Facilitating in the CLOUD901 Teen Learning Lab and CLOUD901 Art Studio. Work involves contact with the public. May be required to work occasional nights and weekends.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor's degree in Fine or Liberal Arts, Education, or related field of study and three (3) years of related experience; or any combination of experience and training which enables one to perform the essential job functions. Experience in Adobe Creative Suit Application required. Working experience in various aspects of visual arts, including but not limited to traditional & digital drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, art installation, animation, photography, graphic design, and art history preferred.
