Overview IT Specialist: Computer Science and Networking Our client is looking for an IT professional with a background in networking to manage their internal infrastructure. This role supports the technological needs of our engineering and manufacturing teams, ensuring secure and efficient operations. Responsibilities Design, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN). Manage server infrastructure, including virtualization, system backups, and security protocols. Provide hardware and software support for internal staff, resolving technical issues as they arise. Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive company data. Develop or customize scripts and software tools to automate routine IT tasks. Evaluate and procure hardware and software to ensure the company stays current with industry standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3+ years of experience administering Windows and Linux server environments, including network infrastructure (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and switches). Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V) and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for system automation. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. #J-18808-Ljbffr
