Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by national nursing organizations License: Required: Registered Nurse License in North Carolina or a Compact State Certifications: Required: BLS (CPR) from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider Must-Have: Epic charting system experience Description: Reviews patient needs and conditions to deliver nursing care in the assigned unit. Ensures that every patient receives the direct and proper care needed. Analyzes patient information, including medical history and diagnostic results. Develops individualized nursing care plans. Prepares nursing processes, such as medication administration and treatments. Reconciles medical records to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards. Evaluates patient response to interventions and identifies additional interventions needed. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure effective care planning. Performs other duties as assigned. Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics Daily Census: 16 Number of Beds: 30 Interdisciplinary Support: Includes IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services. Patient Diagnoses: Respiratory conditions, General Medical/Surgical Diagnoses, Palliative/End of Life/Hospice patients, Psychiatric Observation, Diabetes complications, Surgical patients. All RNs are required to pass an EKG exam during compliance. The candidate is allowed two attempts for the pass/fail requirement. Study material is not provided.
