Overview Registered Nurse – Med Surg, Rome, NY, United States. Start date 08/10/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,264 per week to $2,334 per week with guaranteed hours of 36. Shift: 3x12-hour days. Travel assignment in a hospital setting. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,264–$2,334 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 hours Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour days Start date: 08/10/2026 Location setting: travel assignment in hospital Med Surg/Telemetry Responsibilities Provide direct, compassionate nursing care for Med Surg patients, including telemetry monitoring Administer medications and manage cardiac drips as ordered; perform accurate IV therapy and phlebotomy as needed Read and interpret EKG strips; respond to changes in patient status with appropriate actions Perform wound care, dressing changes, and promote infection control best practices Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team; document care in the electronic medical record; ensure patient safety and quality outcomes Float to step-down units as required; adhere to unit protocols and patient-to-nurse ratios (1:5) Requirements Active New York State Registered Nurse license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required NIH Stroke Certification required prior to start Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med Surg/Telemetry (travel experience preferred) Strong IV skills, ability to read EKG strips, confident with cardiac drips Ability to float to Med Surg/step-down and work in a hospital setting Flu vaccine or declination accepted; facility orientation may include additional CEUs (8 hours) Benefits and Support Guaranteed hours 13-week assignment length Orientation with CEU requirements (8 hours) as part of facility onboarding Travel-focused assignment support and nursing team collaboration throughout the assignment Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
