We're seeking a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum opportunity in Mason City, Iowa. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy Emergency Department with strong APP support, a manageable patient volume, and a collaborative teaching environment.

Level III Trauma Center 250-bed hospital Approximately 33,000 annual ED visits 12 physician coverage during daytime hours 1 physician coverage during night shifts 12 Advanced Practice Providers onsite Physician supervision of APPs required Teaching hospital environment Average ED volume: 77 patients per day Less than 3% transfer-out rate

9-hour and 12-hour shifts available No call responsibilities Peak volume hours: 11:00 AM 11:00 PM

Candidate Requirements

Board Certified Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience Active Iowa License or IMLC Required ACLS Required (AHA) PALS Required (AHA) ATLS Required for trauma privileges ACLS/PALS may be waived for ER-boarded physicians Clean malpractice and background history required Ability to obtain privileges quickly required Must provide specific July and/or August availability at presentation
