Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical Unit – Western North Carolina

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM or 7:00 PM start times), every other weekend required (6 weekend shifts per pay period). Day shift ratios 1:4-6 patients, night shift ratios 1:5-7 patients.

• Floating limited to other medical-surgical units and occasional ED holding pod assignments

Requirements:

• Current RN license in North Carolina or compact state license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Telemetry rhythm interpretation skills required
• Strong critical thinking and time management abilities
• Ability to assess patient acuity changes and escalate appropriately to charge nurse, provider, or rapid response team
• Medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills and reliable attendance record
