- Expertise in caring for an acute patient population
- Experience with Meditech
- Energetic and proactive can-do attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in a trauma center
- Oxygen administration
- Suctioning (oral, nasopharyngeal, tracheal)
- Bag-valve-mask ventilation
- Airway positioning and adjunct placement (OPA/NPA)
- Assisting with rapid sequence intubation (RSI)
- Endotracheal tube management
- Ventilator initiation and monitoring
- CPAP/BiPAP setup and monitoring
- Capnography monitoring
- Chest tube setup and management
- Needle thoracostomy assistance
- Tracheostomy care and emergency management
- Peripheral IV insertion (including ultrasound-guided IVs)
- Central line assistance
- Intraosseous (IO) insertion
- Arterial line assistance and monitoring
- Blood specimen collection
- Blood cultures
- Venipuncture
- Accessing implanted ports
- PICC line management
- Primary and secondary trauma assessments
- Cervical collar application
- Spinal immobilization
