($1,250 referrer / $250 referee)Personalized Support - Work with a dedicated recruiter committed to your success.Exclusive Employee Benefits - Enjoy free continuing education (CEUs) exclusive marketplace discounts, hotel savings, pet insurance, and Employee Assistance Program.Shift Details:12 hrs shift, 36hrs/weekDays, Nights, Weekends and HolidaysNursing Specialty: Emergency Room Observation UnitRegistered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:RNs will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals requiring short-term observation, diagnostic evaluation, and treatment following emergency department assessment.RNs will care for a diverse patient population, including those with chest pain, syncope, transient ischemic attacks (TIA), heart failure exacerbations, asthma and COPD flare-ups, dehydration, abdominal pain, infections requiring short-term monitoring, and minor to moderate traumatic injuries such as head injuries, fractures, and falls.RNs will be monitoring patient conditions, administering medications and treatments, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, performing rapid assessments, documenting care accurately, and responding effectively to changes in patient status.Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.Minimum QualificationsCurrent, valid, and unrestricted CA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.Minimum of one (1) recent year of experience in a Level 1 Trauma institution in a metropolitan city with a diverse population as an Emergency Room nurse.Registered Nurse license,AHA BLS/ACLS/PALS, NIHSS Certification,MAB or CPI, LA City Fire and Life Safety card (must be LA City),Completion of the LA County Employee Health Clearance prior to the assignment start date.Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .
