Pediatric Gastroenterologist - St. Vincent's Hospital

Position Summary

The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine has an immediate opening for a Pediatric Gastroenterologist. Clinical activities are based at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Billings, Montana and include outpatient and inpatient care for pediatric gastroenterology patients including performance of endoscopic procedures and biopsies. Outreach to regional locations in Central Montana, Eastern Montana, and Northern Wyoming is expected, with chartered air travel for distances over 150 miles. The candidate will share on‑call responsibilities.

Clinical Activities & Responsibilities

The division offers a full spectrum of pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition services. Responsibilities include performing endoscopic procedures and biopsies, providing outpatient and inpatient care, participating in multidisciplinary programs such as IBD, cystic fibrosis, food allergy, motility disorders, and colorectal care. Outreach to regional sites, including travel for 150+ mile distances, is part of the role.

Candidate Requirements

• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology. • Faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics on a clinical track commensurate with experience and qualifications.
