Come join our team! TheNorth Central Health District (NCHD) seeks an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to work full-time at the HOPE Center. HOPE Center provides full medical care, dental services, and case management to individuals living with HIV/AIDS. It also includes a housing program for people living with HIV/AIDS, COMPASS Pharmacy, and transportation services to appointments This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, a great schedule, and a healthy work-life balance, allowing you to grow your career while maintaining time for what matters most to you.
This position will be based in Macon, GA (Bibb County) and does not offer relocation assistance. Candidate must live within a reasonable commuting distance. If relocating to Macon or surrounding area, please specify on the application.
Job Responsibilities
Under limited supervision, oversees the programs, staff, and clinical services of an infectious disease clinic within the local public health department. Identifies and builds relationships with community partners, providers, and agencies to support public health efforts.
The Clinical Nurse Manager serves as the lead clinical manager, focusing on delivering high-quality, coordinated care for patients living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) in alignment with clinical guidelines. This role oversees nursing and case management staff and performs managerial duties, including clinical chart reviews, oversight of state and federal grant reports, and development of clinical policies and procedures, while coordinating with pharmacy and behavioral health services.
Operating within the Hope Center and the North Central Health District, this position collaborates with the clinical team to ensure effective patient care coordination, may provide direct patient care, and participates in clinical quality management and evaluation efforts.)
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Clinical Oversight:
  • Ensure seamless coordination between clinical care and case management for better patient throughput.
  • Plans, organize and direct both nursing staff and case management teams.
  • Stays abreast of infectious diseases, Ryan White eligibility requirements and case management procedures.
  • Serve as liaison between Quest Lab and HOPE Center.
  • Assist with patient navigation and address patient concerns.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary teamwork between nursing, case managers, and medical staff to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Lead monthly clinical and case management staff meetings.
  • Verify electronic health records for accuracy to ensure staff documentation is clear and concise.
  • Oversee infection control protocols and track medication supply.
Clinical Quality Care & Management:
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols to reduce risks of medical errors.
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks to improve efficiency across the agency.
  • Monitor, develop and update clinical policies and procedures.
  • Conduct clinical chart audits monthly and quarterly
Personnel Management:
  • In coordination with NCHD Human Resources, manages staff recruitment, selection, orientation, ongoing training, and disciplinary actions.
  • With Hope Center management team, creates, manages, and maintains staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage during hours of operation.
  • Ensure that there is a plan for orienting and training new staff in their day-to-day tasks and responsibilities.
  • Empowers and develops Hope Center case managers, eligibility supervisor, and employees to their highest potential.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of experience as a Registered Nurse, two (2) years of which in an administrative or supervisory capacity and current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse; or eight (8) years of experience as a Registered Nurse (HCP073) or position equivalent, two (2) years of which in an environment related to the area of assignment, four (4) years of which as a supervisor and current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS treatment and ART (Antiretroviral Therapy)
  • Demonstrated success in process improvement to increase agency efficiency
  • Advanced proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and data analytics for clinical outcome reporting.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and experience in professional staff development and mentorship
