Senior Tooling Design Engineer

To support the Reactor Internal Design Tooling Team, the full-time Senior Tooling Design Engineer will design remotely operated tooling for the installation and adjustment of Nuclear Reactor Modification Hardware, primarily working in a challenging underwater environment. Key responsibilities Design Reactor Modification Tooling incorporating various actuation methods while adhering to schedule and cost limits Draft fabrication drawings and build/test the tooling to ensure performance requirements are met Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tooling designs that meet Nuclear Quality and Safety standards Required qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution Minimum of 10 years of mechanical design and testing experience, including 2D and 3D modeling At least 5 years of experience in the nuclear industry Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in the full design evolution process Knowledge of various fabrication techniques, including machining and welding
