Responsibilities:

• Lead and own the company’s compensation strategy as the primary focus, including salary structures, pay architecture, and incentive program design

• Design, implement, and continuously improve broad-based compensation programs across hourly, salaried, and executive populations

• Manage and execute annual merit cycles, salary reviews, and variable pay programs

• Conduct market benchmarking, compensation analysis, and pay equity reviews to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness

• Own and maintain job architecture, salary banding, and compensation frameworks across the organization

• Develop and enhance bonus structures, incentive plans, and total rewards programs to support attraction and retention

• Oversee administration of benefits programs including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and retirement plans

• Lead annual open enrollment and employee communication efforts

• Manage workers’ compensation claims, return-to-work programs, and workplace accommodations

• Ensure compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ACA, OSHA, and other employment regulations

• Maintain and optimize HRIS systems, benefits administration platforms, and reporting tools

• Partner with Finance, Payroll, Operations, and leadership to align compensation and total rewards with business goals

• Analyze compensation and benefits data to drive recommendations and continuous improvement

• Support employee education and communication around compensation, benefits, and rewards programs

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required

• Minimum of 7+ years of direct, hands-on experience in broad-based compensation design and strategy

• Proven ownership of compensation programs (not just support), including salary structures, job evaluations, merit cycles, and incentive plan design

• Must have held a Compensation, Total Rewards, or Compensation-focused leadership role

• Strong subject matter expertise in:

• salary structures
• market benchmarking
• pay equity analysis
• incentive and bonus design

• Experience managing employee benefits programs and administration

• Knowledge of workers’ compensation, claims management, and return-to-work processes

• Experience with HRIS systems and compensation/benefits modules

• Strong understanding of ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, FMLA, OSHA, and related regulations

• Must be willing to work onsite full-time

Preferred Experience:

• Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)

• Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS)

• Certified Workers Compensation Professional (CWCP)

• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments

• Experience supporting hourly workforce compensation structures

Pay:

$90K–$130K salary
