As an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon within our organization’s healthcare team, you will leverage state-of-the-art technology to assess, diagnose, and treat Soldiers and their families. Your role may involve researching military-related diseases, engaging in medical education, leading medical units, implementing patient care and health promotion initiatives, and fulfilling specialized staff roles in health support. By joining the Army Dental Corps, you will contribute to the well-being of our Soldiers and the nation while enjoying exceptional opportunities, such as participating in humanitarian missions, receiving leadership training, and accessing a competitive benefits package. Collaborate with top professionals in the field and help advance the practice of oral & maxillofacial surgery.
Benefits may include:- Annual repayment of eligible education loans to your lending institution, over a maximum of three years while serving.

- Specialized training to develop your leadership skills within the military dental community.
- A Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), or a combined DDS/DMD degree from a dental program accredited by the American Dental Association (ADA) in the United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or Canada.
- Completion of an ADA-accredited advanced specialty education program in oral & maxillofacial surgery, recognized by the Surgeon General.
- Aged between 21 and 42 years (waivers may be requested).
- A valid license to practice dentistry.
- Must be a citizen of the United States.
