Medical Assistant and Administrator

Arima Health is a virtual sleep medicine clinic helping patients access evaluation and ongoing support through a connected, technology-enabled care journey. About the Role We’re hiring a Medical Assistant to help patients and clinicians move smoothly through virtual sleep-care visits. You’ll prepare charts, support patient intake and check-in, help patients connect to telehealth appointments, and coordinate assigned follow-up and documentation tasks. You’ll work closely with clinicians and the MA team in a remote environment. This is a support role performed within established workflows, clinical decisions and treatment recommendations are made by licensed clinicians. What You Will Do Prepare charts and visit materials in Athena before scheduled appointments Check intake, consent, referral, insurance, and relevant clinical-document status Support patient check-in and help patients access their virtual visit Notify clinicians when patients are ready and communicate any barriers promptly Retrieve or upload sleep-study and PAP compliance reports when assigned Coordinate routine non-clinical follow-up with patients, referral sources, or DME partners Document outreach, check-in status, handoffs, and task completion accurately Protect confidential information and elevate clinical or sensitive concerns appropriately Share workload updates and help improve checklists and patient workflows What We're Looking For Experience in medical assisting, patient intake, clinical support, or healthcare operations Clear, compassionate communication and a patient-first approach Strong organization, accuracy, and dependable follow-through Comfort using EHR and telehealth systems; Athenahealth experience is a plus Good judgment about role boundaries, privacy, and when to elevate Ability to work collaboratively in a remote, fast-moving care environment Nice to Have Medical Assistant certification or formal MA training, subject to applicable role and location requirements Virtual care, sleep medicine, PAP/HST, DME, or referral-coordination experience Familiarity with Athenahealth and Parachute Why Join Arima Help patients access specialty sleep care through a virtual care model Support clinicians and patients across a coordinated care journey Join a collaborative team focused on reliable workflows and patient experience Build expertise in virtual clinical operations and sleep medicine Compensation and benefits are based on experience and company policy.
