Ultrasound Technologists are responsible for the performance of general X-ray procedures in addition to general Ultrasound and Vascular procedures in the clinic environment.

Department: X-Ray Clinic

Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours a week required

Location: Tuscola, IL

Required: AS Degree, Ultrasound Vascular, ARRT(R) within in 1 year of hire, IEMA, BLS

Pay: Based on experience, starting at $33.73 an hour

$10,000 Sign on Bonus

Responsibilities

• Maintains supplies in assigned area.
• Obtains patient history and diagnosis to assist in radiologist in interpretation.
• Orders, acknowledges, and charges for exams.
• Performs all general radiology studies.
• Performs diagnostic ultrasound exams including abdominal, obstetrics, gynecologic, breast, small parts, and vascular.
• Performs office duties such as answering the phone, scheduling patients, cleaning exam rooms, and other duties as requested.
• Performs phlebotomy as needed.
• Prepares documentation for billing and interpretation in an accurate and timely fashion in accordance to established policies and procedures.
• Prepares patients and equipment for examination.
• Sends images to PACS in accordance with established procedures.
• Utilizes ALARA radiation principles.
• Utilizes proper safety precautions as documented in department and hospital policies.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree (Required)
• ARRT - Radiography (R) - (within 1 year of hire) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• BLS or CPR certification (within 90 days of hire) - Sarah Bush Lincoln
• IEMA - Illinois Emergency Management Agency - State of Illinois
• ULTRASOUND VASCULAR - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
