Central Indiana Mechanical LLC is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician to join our growing service department!

This is a UA Local 440 position for an experienced commercial technician who is comfortable independently troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing commercial HVAC/R and mechanical systems.

**COMPENSATION**

CIM is a UA Local 440 company.

New hires will complete an initial 45-day assessment period .

After demonstrating knowledge, troubleshooting ability, workmanship, dependability, and independence new hires will receive up to $5.00/hour over Local 440 scale .

*Current Local 440 Journeyman scale is $53.25/hour*

Premium remains tied to the UA Local 440 scale.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

This is not an entry-level position.

We are looking for the right technician who understands complete building HVAC systems, not just individual pieces of equipment. The right candidate should be able to walk into a mechanical room, understand how the equipment is intended to operate together, troubleshoot problems systematically, and make technically sound repairs.

Central Indiana Mechanical LLC is a growing commercial mechanical company, and we are looking for experienced technicians who want the opportunity to grow with the company rather than simply be another number. We want technicians who take ownership of their work and take pride in understanding the systems they service.

Our technicians have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of commercial and institutional equipment, including boilers, air-cooled chillers, RTUs, AHUs, VAV systems, refrigeration equipment, pumps, and hydronic systems.

We place a strong emphasis on technical ability, troubleshooting, craftsmanship, and doing the job correctly .

We are looking for technicians who can diagnose problems rather than simply replace parts. You should be able to determine whether a problem is mechanical, electrical, refrigeration-related, controls-related, or the result of another part of the building system.

We value technicians who understand why a system is operating the way it is and can work through problems methodically.

Candidates must be dependable, professional around customers, capable of documenting their work clearly, and able to communicate technical findings with customers and other technicians .
