Duration: Ongoing

Shift: 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM), with flexible 12-hour shifts available

Hours per Week: 36-40 (based on shifts)

Employment Type: Temporary/Locum

Required Licenses/Certifications: MN medical license (or IMLC if license not yet granted), Board-certified in Ob/Gyn, BLS

Experience: Trauma I or II experience preferred, high-risk OB experience required

Hourly Rate: $248.24/hour

What You'll Do

• Provide high-risk obstetric care during 24/7 hospital coverage
• Assist with obstetric procedures and urgent OB needs, including cesarean sections
• Collaborate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialists, available in-house during the day and on call at night
• Support level II nursery deliveries, averaging 11-12 per day
• Manage unassigned OB patients and assist with high-risk pregnancies
• Document care using Epic/Emerge or Obix electronic medical records systems
• Participate in on-call duties, with shift flexibility (including 12-hour shifts if preferred)
• Coordinate care with in-house OB and MFM teams for seamless patient management

What You Need

• Active Minnesota medical license or IMLC (if license pending)
• Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• BLS certification
• Trauma I or II experience

• Experience with high-risk pregnancies
• Previous hospitalist or OB hospitalist background

About the Assignment This role primarily covers the Maternal-Fetal Medicine service and urgent obstetrical cases at a highly respected Minneapolis hospital. Providers will collaborate closely with in-house specialists, supporting approximately 11-12 deliveries per day within a Level II nursery environment.
