Industrial Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description:

  • Study assembly lines and manufacturing processes to identify improvement opportunities using Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Perform Time Studies and Line Balancing activities, including elemental breakdown, video time studies, station and operator analysis, VA/NVA/RNVA analysis, current-state line balancing, and Muri analysis.
  • Develop Current State and Future State Value Stream Maps (VSM) to identify bottlenecks, waste, inefficiencies, and capacity constraints.
  • Conduct capacity analysis and baseline assessments to drive process improvements.
  • Identify productivity and process optimization opportunities and develop Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 improvement roadmaps.
  • Create and update Standard Work Instructions and Video Work Instructions.
  • Perform root cause analysis for quality issues, defects, downtime, and manufacturing inefficiencies.
  • Support corrective actions, Kaizen initiatives, and continuous improvement projects with detailed implementation plans.
  • Assist with fixture design and manufacturing process improvements based on production requirements.
  • Work closely with production teams on the shop floor to drive operational excellence and sustainable improvements.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Value Stream Mapping methodologies to improve efficiency and throughput.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of Industrial Engineering experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Strong hands-on shop floor experience (mandatory).
  • Proven expertise in Time Study and Line Balancing.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
  • Strong process optimization and productivity improvement experience.
  • Experience with root cause analysis, Kaizen, and waste elimination initiatives.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and production teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
