JOB DESCRIPTION

• Under the direction of the Practice Administrator, the Nurse Practitioner/PA will:
• Assist physician in providing exceptional patient care and service
• Perform patient exams, history & physicals
• Maintain updated patient records
• Order and analyze test results, consult with provider to create treatment plans
• Administer treatments as directed by physician
• Complete orders and charges efficiently
• Serve as a trusted resource for patients, offering guidance on their ongoing care, counselling, and critical conditions

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Advanced Practice Professional Degree in Medicine/Osteopathy/Nursing or Physician Assistant Professional Degree
• Texas medical license, DEA license
• Minimum 3 years’ experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to complete required office tasks (order, notes, EMR records, charges etc.) in a timely manner
• Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate and operate EMR system
• Ability to effectively manage time—expectation is for provider to begin office hours on time and to stick to the schedule throughout the day
• Employer strongly discourages the rescheduling of patient appointments with minimal prior notification to the office staff (i.e., less than 1 week notice) except for emergency situations.
