Front Office Supervisor - Arrow Dental (Portland, Oregon)

Dental Front Office Supervisor We are seeking a full-time Dental Front Office Supervisor for our Arrow Dental Clinic in Portland. This position will provide supervision of the front office and is responsible for administering the day-to-day activities of the business office, including maintenance of the records of patients, scheduling of patients, accounts receivable, maintaining appearance and order of dental office, presentation of financial treatment plan options, and recall/recare system. Actual pay is based on qualifications. Applicants who do not exceed the minimum qualifications will only be eligible for the low end of the pay range. Primary Functions Complete day-to-day operations of the dental office Open and close dental office according to office protocol Review the office for a neat, professional appearance and make necessary changes Greet and welcome patients and visitors to the practice Help explain office policy to patients Collect payment from patients at the time of treatment Make a follow-up appointment as needed See that records are stored securely and handled in compliance with HIPAA privacy and security regulations Assist in the treatment room as needed Verify and update insurance information on all patients Submit treatment plans for predetermination of benefits when appropriate Coordinate patient referrals when necessary Prepare claims forms for patients with dental insurance Monitor inventory and order office supplies as needed Provides regular communications with Dental Clinic Operations Manager regarding the status of daily operations. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills Dental office or equivalent work experience or post-secondary education Demonstrated knowledge of dental clinic, patient flow, tracking, triage, health education, dental office procedures, and health care scheduling Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and dental insurance Strong supervisory skills, including problem solving, time management, employee training and development, and team building preferred Proven professional demeanor and ability to use good judgment and discretion when dealing with confidential information & conform to HIPAA regulations 2-4 years dental office experience or equivalent management experience preferred Computer proficiency with DAISY or other dental practice management system and Microsoft Office applications preferred Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills Ability to work well under pressure with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities Self-motivated, organized, & able to work independently and as a team member Ability to read, understand and apply administrative policies and procedures Ability to come into work on time and on a daily basis Maintain confidentiality and project a professional business image Arrow Dental seeks to allow equal employment opportunities for all qualified persons without regard to race, religion, color, age, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, marital status, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by law. #J-18808-Ljbffr
