Mechanical AssemblerThis role demands a strong mechanical aptitude, where you will perform mechanical assembly operations according to documented manufacturing procedures to build trailer and truck-mounted asphalt equipment from the ground up. This involves the sub-assembly of individual component parts as well as the final assembly into a complete and finished product.ResponsibilitiesUtilize basic hand and power tools to sub-assemble individual components such as engine cabinets, control boxes, and shovel cleaning compartments, including some electrical wiring.Employ basic hand and power tools to assemble sub-components into the final manufactured unit, including mounting 2-4 ton capacity hoppers to trailer frames, installation of control boxes, wiring harnesses, and various heating systems such as LP and Diesel burners.Essential SkillsProficiency with power toolsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and schematicsStrong mechanical assembly skillsExperience with diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and wiringAdditional Skills & QualificationsCertified Diesel Technician or similar experience is a bonusExperience with hydraulics and power transmission systems preferredKnowledge of 12-volt electrical systems is advantageousExperience with vehicle upfitting and trailers is preferredWhy Work Here?Join a growing company with plans to move into a new building, offering a promote-from-within culture and flexible schedule options. You will be among approximately 50 people in the shop across different departments. Shift hours include: Monday-Thursday, 3PM-1:30AM (4x10, optional on Friday) and Monday-Thursday, 1st Shift 5 or 6 AM to 3:30 or 4:30 (optional on Friday).Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of North Branch, MN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
