Clinical Pharmacist

Schedule: Full Time, varied Responsibilities Manages drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team. Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug related problems. Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, patients and pharmacy students. Documents interventions and outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts. Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry. Checks for accuracy after being filled by technicians. Maintains adequate knowledge of pharmacy automated systems and computer software. Accurately and appropriately issues controlled substances to patient care areas. Corrects and attends to all discrepancies with controlled substances as required by law. Experience: 1 to 2 years as a licensed pharmacist with enhanced clinical responsibilities. Licenses: Valid Pharmacy license from the state. Required Skills: Familiarity with organization and functions of each hospital department, leadership ability, integrity, initiative, problem solving, ability to handle stress positively, maintain harmonious relationships with nursing personnel, medical staff, hospital administration, and all hospital departments.
